- creating a peer support network that offers weekend respite programs
- publishing and dispensing a semi-annual newsletter intended to keep their network of support viable.
WHO?
The specific populations served initially by
Golden Opportunities are residents of eldercare
facilities and caregivers (i.e. parents of seriously ill children, those who
care for elderly shut-ins, etc.). As Golden
Opportunities grows, other populations facing isolation and
a sense of helplessness will also be served.
