Fashion Show Presented at Pope John Paul II Nursing Home
Pope John Paul II Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center was the site of the second annual Prom Fashion Show on May 19th. Fourteen students from Immaculate High School Key Club participated in the event which Nancy Taylor, Program Administrator at Golden Opportunities organized.
This year’s Fashion Show was a great success - approximately 50 residents loved seeing the beautifully dressed young women and men. Much applause and many ‘ooohs’ and ‘aaahs’ were heard as Nanci Stockmann, Key Club Advisor, introduced each couple. They circled the room, twirling slowly so the residents could get a complete view of their gowns. The residents then voted on their favorite dress and chose a flowing, deep purple gown with sparkling beading on the neckline. The dress was worn by Montana Beutler who was escorted by David Snyder. After Montana received her tiara and sash she and David danced for the residents with the other students joining in. Many wonderful memories of dancing in another era were shared that afternoon.
