It is the mission of Golden Opportunities to enhance the quality of life for those who are experiencing isolation, loneliness, or helplessness by providing them with outreach services of comfort, compassion, and support.
WHY?
Studies conducted over the past 10 years have shown that isolation, loneliness, and the feeling of
helplessness have a bearing on a person’s emotional and mental health, negatively affecting his/her physical well-being.
Depression, reduced immune function, high blood pressure, and sleep dysfunction can be reduced through companionship, human interaction, and a restored sense of control.
